KAMK visited Kajaani Sister City, Jiujiang China

Kajaani University of Applied Sciences (KAMK) senior lecturer, Ms. Ruey Komulainen and Mr. Mikko Kerttula, Director of CEMIS consortium where KAMK is a member institution participated in the Kajaani delegation to sister city, Jiujiang China, from 28.5 to 30.6. During the visit, the delegation was hosted by the new mayor of Jiujiang, Mr. Xie Yiping and his ministers. The visit was fruitful and productive. Among few other topics, education was one of those explored. The delegation met Ms. Zeng, Vice Director of the ministry of education to deepen each other's understanding of the education system, data management and platform for education activities and exchange ideas of cooperation including teaching methodologies, usage of new technologies and applications to enhance learning outcomes. As part of this initiative, Jiujiang will send a group of students and staff to Finland for cultural exchange activities in August 2018 where KAMK will assist to host. The two cities hope to increase more collaboration in the field of higher education going forward.
