The Polish marketplace for unique metal posters, Displate, is home to over a million artworks by tens of thousands of artists worldwide. And, Displate is no stranger to the gaming world. The marketplace collaborates with world-renowned brands such as Marvel, DC, Netflix, Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher, and others to bring its tribe of passionate geeky collectors their incredible gaming posters. Most of these collectors are from the US, UK, France and Germany, where fans can choose from a collection of over a Million unique designs by over 40 thousand talented artists.

This partnership is an excellent fit because Kajaani University of Applied Sciences hosts many unique degrees such as Esports Business and student-owned and operated esports organisation KAMK.GG strives to offer its community members an open and welcoming environment to pursue their wide range of unique passions academically, creatively, and competitively. Therefore, it’s a pleasure to be partnering with Displate, providers of beautiful hand-crafted metal posters, throughout 2022. Both KAMK.GG and Displate share a similar vision of supporting nerd culture and providing avenues for fans worldwide to showcase their niches through community-designed art pieces.

“Even from our initial discussions, it became clear that the Displate team completely understood our mission of inclusivity and innovation in Finland's gaming and esports space. We had previously been loyal customers of the brand as we outfitted our various esports facilities here on campus throughout the last three years, so when the opportunity arose to work alongside Displate, it was an easy choice.” says Richard Withers, Esports Development Manager at Kajaani University of Applied Sciences.

What can we expect from this collaboration?

This collaboration will provide support and sponsorship to KAMK.GG during their own branded events, as well as collaborative opportunities such as ASSEMBLY Winter 2022. Additionally, Displate and KAMK will collaborate on a case video, art streams and curate a special dedicated online shop on the Displate marketplace where KAMK University students can show their artwork online. KAMK.GG has assembled some of their most talented artists from various degrees to join forces and create a unique line of Displates. All proceeds of these artworks will go directly to the artists. As the popularity of their artworks grows through this collaboration, it will allow these passionate individuals to reach new heights!

We keep our fingers crossed for that and are happy for the next steps and some great upcoming events" says Dorota Uslu, Communication Specialist at Displate. The cooperation between Displate and the university is planned for the coming year and the calendar will be full of interesting events to help promote esports and the university. "It will definitely be a time of many interesting projects that we are looking forward to".
