First Notes on Blockchain - Summer 2022
Kajaani University of Applied Sciences (KAMK) organizes continuing education courses First Notes on Blockchain I, II and III, which are an introduction to blockchains with no previous knowledge requirement. These courses take place during Summer 2022. All the three courses are fully online, with free schedule for participation and they are in English language. These courses offer a gentle introduction to blockchains, mathematics of blockchains and coding of blockchains, along with some of the main application areas where blockchains are currently used. After each part of the course, a vlog recording is required to continue to the next part.

This is the second time this course is available. The first time was during Spring 2022.

The course is part of Powered by Blockchain project, done jointly by Kajaani University of Applied Sciences, University of Lapland, University of Oulu and University of Vaasa, offering a total 30 study credits worth of courses on blockchain. The project is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF).

Powered by Blockchain project offers education on blockchains while developing a deployment model of blockchains for the participants. The project offers courses not only to the Universities’ students but also to adult and continuing education and companies. Cooperation between the universities enables the use of their individual expertise fields, developing new and innovative know-how over geographical and scientific areas. In addition, the interests of companies are taken into consideration while developing learning and utilisation of block-chain technologies.
