The English-taught Master’s Degree at Kajaani University of Applied Sciences is a multidisciplinary program that welcomes applicants with the minimum of a Bachelor’s (first cycle) degree qualification.

The Master´s Degree in Global Business Management includes full-time studies on campus for 1.5 years. The program comprises a total of 90 ECTS: course work accounts for 60 ECTS and the remaining 30 ECTS are for the graduate thesis. The 60 ECTS of course work includes 12 individual courses of 5 ECTS each. The courses are designed to provide students with the information they will need to succeed as high-level business leaders in today’s modern business environment.

All non-EU/EEA citizens selected for English-taught studies leading to a Finnish higher education degree must read and approve a Student Agreement before accepting the study place. Joint application period for the Master´s Degree in Global Business Management is held in 4 September - 14 September 2023 (for studies starting in spring 2024). Application for the English-taught degree programmes in Finnish higher education institutions are submitted online at www.studyinfo.fi during the application period.

The tuition fee for non-EU/EEA citizens at KAMK is 10 000 euros per academic year. There is no tuition fee for EU/EEA citizens or exchange students. The payment is done at the same time when accepted student confirms his/her study place at KAMK. It is not possible to pay in installments.
On their first year, the students may take advantage of the Early Bird scholarship by accepting their study place offer and paying their tuition fee within two weeks after receiving the letter of acceptance. The early bird scholarship covers 20% of the tuition fee and is directly used to reduce the tuition fee. This means that the student pays 8 000 euros for the first year.

Eligibility for a Master’s degree programme at KAMK is conferred by:
- a Bachelor’s degree or another appropriate higher education degree (a minimum of 20 credits of business studies accomplished in a higher education institution are required). However, applicants lacking the required business studies but with work experience in demanding specialist posts or managerial/leadership posts can be considered to have achieved the required 20 credits of business studies accomplished in a higher education institution.
- at least two years of subsequent work experience in a relevant field. In order to be eligible, applicants must have 24 months (two years) of work experience in the field of business and commerce accumulated as from the date of award of the final degree certificate and obtained no later than 31 December 2023
Sufficient English language skills are also required for degree programmes conducted in English.
Work experience is given in full months. When converting part-time work (work under 35 hours per week) into its full-time equivalent, 150 hours or 20 working days lasting at least 7 hours per day cor-respond to one month of work. Work experience does not have to be continuous or obtained with the same employer. The amount of work experience points awarded for simultaneous employment relationships may not exceed the amount awarded for full-time employment.
Entrepreneurship will be accepted as work experience if an applicant can produce a certificate attesting that he or she is or has been covered under the statutory YEL or MYEL pension scheme. (YEL = statutory pension scheme for entrepreneurs; MYEL = statutory pension scheme for farmers, forest estate owners, fishers and reindeer herders and their family members). Enterprising activities abroad should be substantiated with comparable official documents.
