Research and Development

Research and development (R&D) is one of the key functions of Kajaani University of Applied Sciences. Our research and development activity supports working life and regional development in our competence areas.

KAMK has established close relations with national organisations and companies. Our research and development projects are very business-oriented. We develop products and processes, transfer technology, knowledge and know-how to businesses, companies and other organisations.

There are 50 to 100 persons working in our projects every year. Tens of new projects start every year. Total project budget exceeds 10 million Euros per year.
