Getting your hands dirty with blockchain
Kajaani University of Applied Sciences organises Blockchain Primer (5 study credits) which is an introductory course to blockchains with no previous knowledge requirement. The course takes place during late autumn 2021.
Blockchain Primer is a fully online course with a free schedule for the studies and it is fully in English language.
The course can be acknowledged as part of studies conducted in Kajaani University of Applied Sciences, University of Lapland, University of Oulu or University of Vaasa. The course offers an introduction to blockchains, the basics of technical details (in a non-technical manner!), mathematics and coding of blockchains, along with some of the main application areas where blockchains are currently used.
Why take this course?
After the course, the student will have the basic knowledge and vocabulary of blockchains with the possibility to continue their studies, discover new application areas and increase their understanding of blockchains independently.
Who should take this course?
The course is open to everyone in partner universities (Kajaani, Lapland, Oulu and Vaasa) interested on blockchains, with no advance knowledge requirement on the subject. The course requires skills in independent work, a will to develop know-how and basic use of computers. No prior coding, technical or mathematical experience is required. The course is held for maximum of 50 students.
When does the course take place?
From the latter part of October until the first days of January 2022. The course opens for students on 25.10.2021.
