Diploma in Digital Industrial Engineering and Management

Digital Industrial Engineering and Management (DIEM) is a unique diploma programme within the engineering discipline. DIEM combines software engineering, artificial intelligence, technology management, entrepreneurship, product development, and the understanding of the business environment. In the programme, students will learn to study and develop artifacts with all of the various disciplines in mind.  The courses included in the DIEM programme are designed to provide the students with high-quality knowledge for the new digital-AI era and are delivered via the Finnish world class pedagogical approach. Students will participate in real industrial development cases during the course of their study. This programme is the first step towards the full degree in digital industrial engineering and management.

After completion, the graduate student may have possibilities available in different industrial sectors as digitalization and artificial intelligence are the new global industrial trend or have his/her own company ready for market launch after graduation.

Further Study Opportunities

Graduates of the diploma programme who wish to continue their studies, can apply for a Bachelor's Degree in Digital Industrial Engineering and Management Degree (240 ECTS) or a Bachelor's Degree in Business Information Technology/Game Development (210 ECTS). The diploma programme will provide the first 60 ECTS for the bachelor’s program. The Bachelor's Degree in Digital Industrial Engineering and Management Degree is a new programme and it will start in autumn 2024 provided that the minimum number of students is found.

The completed credits can also be used to continue education at another university of applied science in a similar field.
