An International Degree in Sports and Leisure Management

My name is Will Churchward, I’m from the U.K. I decided to study Sports & Leisure Management at KAMK due to the international environment at the university and the unique opportunities abroad, such as exchange and practical training. I just completed my advanced practical training with Wycombe Wanderers Sports & Education Trust as a Community Health Assistant and recently got a job at a local primary school as a Teaching Assistant and Sports Coach.

During my studies at KAMK I was able to go on exchange for 2 semesters in Holland and Austria respectively. In Holland I studied Global exploration & Sports which was essentially planning and implementing a sports charity project in Cape Town South Africa. The studies in Austria mainly consisted of marketing and sports management courses, this allowed me to gain a greater insight into the business side of sports.

I also did my first practical training with HighRoller Finland, I was able to attend huge sports exhibitions in London and Munich to showcase their products. The training with HighRoller helped to develop my knowledge in sports sales and marketing.
