Welcome to study at Kajaani University of Applied Sciences! On this page you can find the essential information and materials you will need to get started with your studies at KAMK.

Confirming the Study Place
After the student selections are final, an email will be sent to you with information on the offered study place. The email will be sent to the address you gave in your application.

Results are announced on 4 June 2021, at the latest. Start visa/residence permit application procedure immediately if needed. Please note that after you have been accepted as a student, any study options with lower preference have been cancelled automatically.

To confirm the offered place, you must accept the study place and enroll by 16 July 2021, 3:00 p.m online at Studyinfo. According to one-place-per-student –provision, a student may accept only one study place included in joint applications leading to a higher education degree during one academic semester. If we do not receive your confirmation by the given deadline, you will lose the offered study place. The confirmation is binding.
Tuition Fee Payment
The tuition fee for non-EU/EEA citizens at KAMK is 6 000 euros per academic year (both Bachelor's degrees and Master's degrees). There is no tuition fee for EU/EEA citizens or exchange students. The payment for the first year is done at the same time when accepted student confirms his/her study place at KAMK. It is not possible to pay in installments.

An Early Bird -scholarship is introduced first time for the applications in spring 2020. Students may take advantage of the Early Bird scholarship by accepting their study place offer within two weeks after receiving the letter of acceptance. The early bird scholarship covers 50% to the tuition fee and is directly used to reduce the tuition fee, ie. the student pays 3 000 euros as the tuition fee.

The full payment is made at once on KAMK Online Shop. The methods of payment available are Visa card, Mastercard or Finnish online banks. It is unfortunately not possible to pay in installments.

After successful payment, a receipt will be delivered by email and the condition for the enrollment will be removed. The receipt can be attached to the residence permit application.

The tuition fee for the second year and onwards is paid by 31 May yearly.

Starting in 2021, students who study for a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a University of Applied Sciences are able to use medical services of the Finnish Health Service (FSHS). All degree students in higher education will be entitled to use FSHS services, as long as they have registered as an attending student and paid the healthcare fee to KELA.

The health care fee is paid twice a year (separately autumn and spring semester) to KELA. All attending degree students need to pay the fee in on their own initiative. In 2021 the fee is 35.80 EUR per semester but the amount of the fee is set annually.

Remember to pay your health care fee to KELA by 30 September (for autumn semester, for spring semester by 31 January).
