Confirming the Study Place

After the student selections are final, an email will be sent to you with information on the offered study place. The email will be sent to the address you gave in your application.

Please note that after you have been accepted as a student, any study options with lower preference have been cancelled automatically.

All the applicants will receive a result letter around 7 May 2018 notifying of the admission results. The letter will contain the result and points for all the programmes that you applied for in joint application.

To confirm the offered place, you must accept the study place and enroll by 10 July 2018, 3:00 p.m online at Studyinfo. According to one-place-per-student –provision, a student may accept only one study place included in joint applications leading to a higher education degree during one academic semester. If we do not receive your confirmation by the given deadline, you will lose the offered study place. The confirmation is binding.

The tuition fee for non-EU/EEA citizens at KAMK is 6 000 euros per academic year. The tuition fee for the first academic year must be paid when confirming the study place. The non-EU/EEA students who have been accepted to study at KAMK will receive an email with instructions on how to make the online payment for tuition fee.

After confirming the study place, you can continue with other important practicalities and formalities you must go through before arriving to Finland.

Postponing the Start of Studies

In addition to accepting the study place, you need to enroll as an attending or non-attending student for the autumn semester 2018 and for the spring semester 2019. Please note that you may enroll as non-attending for the first study year only for the following reasons:
• completion of military service / civilian service in Finland,
• your own illness or
• maternity / paternity / parental leave.

A certificate must be submitted to prove the reason for absence. Those registering as non-attending because of maternity / paternity / parental leave or military service, may register as non-attending for another year (2 semesters) later during the studies without a specific reason. Those registering as non-attending because of one’s own illness have no further right to register as non-attending later during the studies.
