SAT test

The SAT Tests are organised by the College Board. It is a standardized test widely used for college and university admission. You can take the SAT test in different countries all over the world on simultaneous test dates. For further information on the test, visit the College Board website at

Requirement for Admission

The designated Institution Code for KAMK is 7787.

The SAT test is used in the English-taught Bachelor's degrees. We accept the SAT test that includes Reading test, Writing and Language test and Math test. Please note that essay is not required and SAT subject tests are not accepted. The minimum required scores are

  • 400 from Evidence-based Reading and Writing
  • 400 from Mathematics

In addition to SAT scores, you need to have a higher secondary degree to apply to KAMK.

Only new version of SAT test (completed after March 2016) is accepted. The official SAT score report must be delivered from the test organizer directly to Kajaani University of Applied Sciences (KAMK).  Report printed and sent by applicant are not taken into consideration. Read more:

Please note that applicants for Sports and Leisure Management need to submit an additional video of their performance in given sports tasks. Detailed instructions on how to perform certain movements and exercises required will be given separately directly to the applicants. The video can be filmed with for example a mobile phone as long as the quality is good enough for images and sound. It should be uploaded to Youtube or Dropbox by the given deadline.

Deadlines for Admission

The SAT score must be delivered to KAMK by 22 April 2020 to be considered for admissions. Therefore the test must be taken no later than on the March 2020 test date. Please check the registration deadlines on the SAT web page!
