Internationalisation has long been among the key aims of the Finnish higher education policy, as well as at the core of higher education institutions’ own strategies. The national aim is to develop higher education institutions into genuinely international education and research communities where the international experience and connections of the staff support the internationalisation of students.
Each of five KAMK schools has an International Co-ordinators who deals with international affairs as well as teaching. In all matters concerning international affairs please contact the International Co-ordinators or the staff of the International Office.
KAMK has partner universities and other partners in more than fourty
countries. Each School in KAMK has its own partner in co-operation. You can find further information about our partner institutions here.
In August 2017 Kajaani University of Applied Sciences has joined the Arctic University and Research Institute network (University of the Arctic – Uarctic). This membership strengthens KAMK’s operations and guarantees that KAMK is even more actively involved in developing far northern regions. More information on the network and its members is available on www.uarctic.org.
